Take my client (and now friend), Carl White, for example. 

I first met him in 2012 and he’d been beaten up pretty bad by the Real Estate crash. 

He had lots of businesses ...was making pretty good money ...but it wasn’t enough to pay for all the real estate investments he’d made. 

Can you imagine? Having a business that’s making money but STILL being on the brink of going broke because of some investments that went sideways?


He was working 24/7 trying to bring in extra cash ...and it was almost working ...but he was about to have a heart attack. (And it still wasn’t enough to cover those dang real estate debts!)

Anyway - turns out Carl’s “Big Domino” was this one little neglected area of his business that was actually a hidden goldmine.

I helped him uncover it (and exploit it) and fast forward to today ...he’s 

completely paid off all the real estate investments, he has more revenue than ever, and he only works eight days per month. (That’s not a typo. Eight days. His team does the rest.)

Would have never happened if we hadn’t found that Big Domino.

Tripled Her Business, Then Grew it

This Year.

What’s crazy is everybody’s “Big Domino” is different. 

I’ve got this real go-getter of a friend and client named Brooke Castillo. First started working with her in 2014. 

Her revenues were in the low six figures when we first started working together and she was pretty happy - she just wanted to make more. 

Naturally, she had about a million ideas and projects she could try ...but I 

decided to try to keep it simple at first. 

“What if you just double your prices”, I asked. 

“Nobody’d buy it”, she said. 

I asked her to just try it and see what happened. 

Turns out it made no difference whatsoever. Still sold like crazy. 

Then she raised prices again. 

And the extra revenue let her run more ads, and ...

By The End Of Our First Year, She'd 

Grown More Than 300%.

Just from doing that ONE THING. (And staying focused.) 

And then it was GAME TIME! 

Once she realized that the real key to major success is just finding that ONE

thing and focusing on it, she was all in. 

Our next project was to scale up and take her out of the daily operations of the business. 

The next “Big Domino” was to bolt on ONE little additional offer to her current business. 

We focused on it, worked hard, and when I spoke with her this New Year’s Eve, she told me she’d ...

Not because she did nine thousand different things ...but because she found the ONE “BIG DOMINO” and focused just on that ONE THING.

Oh. By the way. She only works three days a week and is militant about it.

She will NOT work more than three days. End of discussion. 

I personally like to work more (and then take long periods off) ...but whatever.

The point is - you don’t need to (and should NOT try to) be “working all the

“RED FLAG” Leads To A Surprising 

Spike In  Revenue

I have a newer client named Eric Covino. 

He came to his first meeting a few weeks ago and we did some great work that led to a surprise jump in monthly revenue for him. (His revenue is all recurring, by the way ...which makes this story even cooler.)

Here’s what happened. 

He’s in the professional services business and was considering creating an info-product or something as a means to generate more revenue. 

This immediately created a “RED FLAG” for me because he’s got a solid 

business, a great lifestyle, and this idea seemed like a huge distraction.

Anyway, I asked him a few questions and it turns out he’s got an additional service that he never markets to his existing customers. 

What’s interesting is they’re already getting this service from other people and they’re always complaining about the results

And he’s the guy they’re complaining to! (He talks to his customers every few weeks.) 

So I said, “Hey. I want you to humor me on this one. Just call those customers

up and ask them if they’d like you to perform this service for them for a monthly fee.” 

Simple, right? 

Well. Sometimes simple is all you need. 

Three days later he wrote me to tell me he’d increased his monthly revenue by 25% ...just from doing that ONE THING. (They all said “yes!)

I Bet we double the revenue over the rest of our time together.

Broke Last Year’s Record 

...And Made It All Recurring Too!

I have another client named Jamison Spencer. 

He’s a dentist specializing in treating people with sleep apnea. 

He also helps other dentists do the same. 

He became a client because he wanted to grow the training side of his business.

 I just met with him ...and this year’s sales are the highest ever ...but that’s not the coolest part. 

His trainings are pretty high end. And totally worth it because he’s constantly adding new material, making them better, and really going all-in for his customers. He’s one of the most dedicated people I’ve ever seen. 

Anyway, once I realized the level of service he was providing and how he was constantly updating everything, I suggested he raise his prices.

But Not How You Might Think

I wanted to test leaving the price as-is ...but instead of making it a one-time payment, we made it ANNUAL. 

This means customers pay the tuition every year instead of just one time.

The net result? 

He got MORE sales ...and now they’ll KEEP PAYING. 

This ONE THING might have tripled his business alone. 

But naturally that’s not all we did. 

Next, we created a higher end offer which worked (to the tune of a six-figure windfall - also on an ongoing annual basis). 

And we’re not even done. He’s only been to two meetings.

Threw His Laptop Out The Window, Got 

A 600% ROI.

I’m going to have to call this client “Mr. X” because he doesn’t want anyone to copy him.

He’s in the medical field. Helps people deal with pain from a certain dental condition. Runs a regular brick-n-mortar clinic. 

In other words, a “real business”. 

Anyway - he was worried.

For good reason. 

100% of his patients came from Google.

He’s ranked well he uses Adwords ...but what if Google changed 

something and he was no longer at the top of the search results? 

Sure, he could fall back on Adwords but there’s not enough people searching for his kind of keywords to really make a difference. 

He’d already tried Facebook ads and it was a disaster. He hired some company out of New York to make the dumbest videos you’ve ever seen. 

Spent $30,000 on ‘em and not a single phone call. Much less a patient.

When I first met him I said, “Forget the Internet. Let’s pretend we’ve thrown the laptop out the window and we have to go offline.” 

He looked at me, an “Internet Guru”, like I was from another planet ...but 

he played along. 

And good thing he did, too. We built an offline campaign using 

the NEWSPAPER of all things. 

And for every dollar he puts into it, he gets SIX DOLLARS BACK. 

Yep. A 600% return on investment. 

He’s more than paid for his membership already and he’s only been to one meeting. 

(Next, we’re going to take the newspaper ad and use it as a direct mail piece.)

A Big Pile Of Junk Turns Into A Windfall

Then there’s Dave.

He’s from New Zealand.

His company is another “real business” in the sense they have an actual

physical location, staff, and only service people locally. 

(They’re the folks people call when they’ve got a big pile of junk in their yard and want someone to haul it away.)

When he first joined, they were going into their slowest season of the year.

Which is scary because their overhead is pretty high. 

Turns out we were able to find a “secret weapon” in their business and use it to grow sales like crazy the slowest part of the year! 

Want to know what the “secret weapon” is? 

Their existing customer base. They rarely emailed them! 

So we quickly put together a simple email campaign for the slow season and brought in 2,548 extra jobs booked (and counting) as a result. 

There are two things that made this campaign work.


First, the email copy. It was never more than two sentences. 

Second, a secret “trick” we used for people who opened the emails but didn’t respond. (Nope. It wasn’t more emails lol. It was something offline.) 

I’ve already found two more “big dominoes” for this business but frankly, I don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface for what we can do with the email campaign.

What Do These Stories All Have

In Common?

First, the obvious. 

They’re my clients and I personally worked hard with each of them to get the results I’m talking about.

Every time, I just found ONE THING. One “Big Domino” at a time and focused on that.
